I have used Rainbow Harmonicas for teaching kids, and find it very effective. It is a great way to start learning harmonica. The holes are far apart, making single notes easy. They are color coded, so you don't have to read music. They come with a book of simple songs, all color coded. The limitations are that they only play one octave, they will only play in 1st position, and you can't really do bending.
What are you planning to use it for?
Are there any quality 4 hole harmonicas? Are they available in keys other than C?
: The rainbow method looks interesting, but I'm afraid the harmonica itself will be unusable. Has anyone ever played one of these?
