Chris,The Chuck M. version is in the key of "F". Because the melody is based on an "F" Major scale (at least in the beginning), it would NOT work great in 2nd Position unless you used a Lee Oskar Melody Maker or a Hohner "Country Tuned" Special 20. A standard diatonic in the key of "F" could be played in 1st Position, but it would be awfully high. You could get an octave low "F" (Lee Oskar or Hohner) and that would work better. Chromatic would ultimately be the best and easiest.
The melody starts off with these notes of the Major Scale (these are scale degrees not hole numbers, actual notes are below)-
3 4 5 (up to) 2 1 7 1
A Bb C G F E F
