I just can't seem to take it outta my cd player! One thing that makes the CD so good (other than the virtuoso harping) is Kelly Willis as backing vocalist - her voice works so well with Charlie it's almost scary!

: Im on record as being a Big Musselwhite fan and his latest CD is an excellent listen. Charlie Musselwhite has been known to jump out of the Blues box and is very open minded musically. This CD has some excellent Blues, a new version of "The Blues Overtook Me", some simple but very tasteful Country Style licks on "Cold Grey Light of Dawn" featuring Marty Stewart on guitar with G.E. Smith from the old Saturday Night Live Band. Another song with a country flavor is "In A Town This Size" same players on guitar, just some Great Music with a country flavor that will have you reaching for a cold one. ;>) The licks on this CD range from the "Hey I can figure that out" to the "How the Hell'd he do that". There's a lot to be learned from this CD. Charlie plays some of the cleanest, clearist, acoustic harmonica Ive heard him play. Several of the songs have a Rock n Roll flavor to them, pretty much all the bases are covered musically. One thing of intrest is breaking the rule of having two songs in the same key follow each other on a CD, No. 2 & 3 are both in E, yet sound great. This CD is Charlie at his Best, you wont be sorry you bought it..................... bluz
