: I want to learn to play amplified harp so I purchased a Shure 520Dx Green Bullet mic (I think itís high impedance). Out of curiosity what is the difference between high impedance, low impedance and dual impedance. To what situations does it apply?

Think of it as resistance.
High would be Guitar amps.
Low would be PA's.
Shure 58 & 57 Low Impediance.
Green Bullet and Jt-30 depending on the wiring,
High.
Dual, both, Shure 545D = dual impediance
545DS dual with switch, on off type switch
Shure 545 reissue can be changed to hi or low by
changing wiring plug internally.......

Hope this helps........bluz..
