Use a cheap ($20.) omni microphone in your cupped hands for your harp. I say a cheap mic, since you are most likely going to add distortion to your harp on purpose anyway, and played this close, even an expensive mic would sound distorted, so there is no reason to sweat it. Radio shack's cheap omni is cool, as is their "karaoke" model that has a built in echo! Also, the classic green bullet mic is cool. I love the new little "Honeytone" amp from danelectro.com. Its a LOUD mini amp with the BEST tube crunch simulator Ive heard! I love my harp thru this thing! I can even mic off of it at a "real" show and have my sound! Feel free to email me. Peace.
