What harmonica to buy?

My birthday is next week and I want to learn harmonica. I found an old Hohner Pocket Pal in my room,but I think something is broken because draw notes dont work on some holes. What is the best for a beginner who wants a good blues sound? I figure I can get a really good one since they are not too expensive.
