I agree! Another explanation could be that many of the "new" computer-users are untrained readers in general and untrained websitereaders in particular. I have had coumputer since 85 and I have learned how to read on a computer-display, but I often experience "new" computer-users who cant spot even very clear messages on the screen. You could call it a kind of Computer-text-blindness if you like.
