: : A chrome is in c correct? If you are playing it with chords a la George Smith you are playing in Dm,right?

: : Then what should the band be in? D? A ? C ?

: : Help before open mic night!

: Greetings,

: Plaing a chromatic in "2nd position" employs the Dorian scale. This is a scale mode very close to the blues scale... it's got some minor tone and some major.. Your band should be playing blues in D

:
: If you use A as your tonic note (the band playing in A) then you'd be playing in A minor (pure minor)

: Bill

Thank you bill & Bluz must have had a T.I.A. So the band plays a 12 bar in D and I have a C tuned (regular) Chrom. There fore I am playing in Dm. No cross harp counting to a 4th.Ok Got it and thanks.
