I had a VC 508 for what it is, its not a bad little amp, the down side, you must pull the speaker to gain access to the tubes, for changes, volume is very limited. I think a better value for a lot less money is the Electar Tube 10 watt at www.musicyo.com about $120 it has a stand by switch and has twice the power, easy to get at tubes, looks and sounds a lot better. Just one persons opinion.. Good Luck to you....
