Have tried some of my leftover guitar amps (and tried preamp tube swaps to lower the gain) and am not satisfied. Several sites have praised the Crate VC-508 (5 watts) and the Pignose 20. Has anyone tried these. I realize I still have a ways to go with improving internal tone but I just love new toys!
