I am not really a wet player, as far as I can tell. I generally don't have any (or very little) spit in the combs as I did when I first started playing. I do have a tendancy to wet my lips a bit if they stick to the harp, but that is about it. I think it is mostly due to the fact that I have been playing the harp literally all day, for the last few days. I have been taking it to work and have been playing when nobody else is in to office. I pick it up just about every few minutes. I really enjoy playing it a lot and I hope that I don't give up (like I did with the guitar about 6 years ago.)

An interesting thing that I would like to note though, is that I went to lunch about an hour ago. When I returned, the swelling on my Marine Band harp was almost back to normal. I guess that it is nothing that I really need to worry about. It probably won't get too bad.

: You must be a "wet player" who puts a lot of saliva in there.
: Im a wet player too, but man thats because I get thirsty for a beer when I'm playing (right Bluz)
: I've got a C marine band with sticky out comb, I dont worry about it. You might be able to find single notes easier!

: Look at it this way, if you can express yourself with that comb go and buy a nice new Lee Oskar in C or one of those Suzuki metal comb pro harps that look fantastic and see how they run across the lips!!
