: : I speak only from Philly experiance. The harp is never loud enough. It seems that it's mid range qualities get drowned out and don't cut through the mix. I watched 3 harpists last night playing through a amp/shure set up and I could barely hear them. I thought I would be slick and go right through the PA but that too was 'solo we couldn't hear.' It seems if the drummer plays hard everyone turns up. If you play through an amp a crowded stage causes feedback. Sooo from now on I sing and play, that way I have the loud vocalist mike.

: : Any thoughts harpmen?

: : on your amp, do you have a place to put a foot switch so you can mute the feed back? I tried this the other day and it works really well, it doesn't really feed back while you are harping only when you stop. also try micing your and, maybe that will work, I do that when I use A amp and smaller than two 10's. I hope this helps

PS Sorry about miss spelling AMP*
