: Mic addicts must think alike! I had the same idea on the bullet turn signals about 6 mos. ago but never acted on it! I have a couple of "after-markets" off an old Sportster I used to own in my tool box.Never came across an element to use and wasn't sure what I would use for "grill" in place of the lens. Curious as what you used for grill? I've been working on the "chopped" desk mic style bullets with 1/4" phone jacks and a push button on/off switch. These make nice harp mics! Smaller than JT30 and Green Bullets yet larger than the turn signals. Careful! As you know, these mics are very addictive! LOL

Hi Ray,
Yes I know about the addiction, wish someone could have told me sooner, lol. For the grill on the turn signal mic I used one of those round screens that you put in the sink, kinda like a strainer. They are crome and easy to solder into place. I tried to drill out the plastic lense first but the kept breaking when they got a few holes in them. After about 5 lenses I decided to use the sink screen. Boy am I gonna look funny riding this summer with all those holes in my directionals, lol.
Harp hard,
Gb
