Be very careful of feedback with the mini mics, I haven't found any I can use in a normal to high volumn band situation. (Nor wireless mics for that matter)

I had a Strnad pickup when they first came out (10- 15 years ago). I didn't like it because it "intereferes with acoustical hand technique", and the tone and volumn was just OK. I gutted it, put it in a bullet mic and still didn't like. I don't know anyone that uses them, but mics and amps are an extremely personal thing, you never know what you'll like until you try it. By the way, I don't care for the bullet mics either.

If you don't switch harmonicas much during a song, the Barcus-Berry Harmonica pickups with a volumn pedal work fairly well. Hand effects work great with these things.

Good luck,

: I jammed with a band yesterday and used the regular harp player's bullet mic, confirming to myself what I said before about really not caring for them. I want to go for one of those mini mics that fit on a finger clip. I noticed that Suzuki has one priced around $85, which is a lot less than the others I've seen...Any advice or experiences that anyone could give would be appreciated...Also, while I'm at it, what about these Strnad harp pickups?...they look interesting, but it seems like they would also interefere with acoustical hand technique.
