Ended up buying a Hohner 270T (tenor) chromatic. Wanted a Hering but it didn't happen. Have been playing a CX-12 and got the 270T instead of the CX-12T because I thought the mellower sound would be cool. I also saved about $55. The 270T is just much more difficult to play. Kind of like driving a 60's vintage car compared to a modern rig. The holes are too close together and the shape doesn't seem to work with a human mouth. I can play it, just not with the confidence and competance of the CX-12. Also, when comparing the sound of the two harps with a mic, not much difference, especially when wailing.
