: I am a beginner who has found a wonderful old old book from the library, called Play the Harmonica for fun and profit by Hal Leighton. I have improved a lot since studying from this old book. Would love to hear your comments
I'll try to keep my comments brief (for a change).
If your studies are bringing about improvements in your playing, then you are doing quite well.
Whether you are studying any of Jon Gindick's excellent instructional material, or struggling with some child's course with big notes and characters from Mother Goose's fairy tales, if it works for you, then go for it!
Keep us posted on your progress and when you stumble on some new tricks or hot riffs, be sure to share them with us.
Wishing you success in your endeavors,
