Hmmm... I usually play chromatic so I don't have a huge amount of experience w/ diatonics. All of my diatonics are Marine Bands which are nickel plated also. I do know that all of Hering's chromatics are chome plated, with the exception of the 5264 and 6264, whereas Hohner has several nickel plated ones. So maybe you should check Hering's diatonics?
