hi im pretty new to harmonica but i havent seen anything on this page about a technique i sometimes use for effect. I humm into the harmonica at the same time as blowing, exactly the same way you would if you were playing a kazoo. It gives a strange sound but its pretty much what you would imagine it to sound like. Unfortunatly you cant humm and draw at the same time so u can only do this on blow notes.
Could people plese try this and see what they think? i usually only 'hum in' to finish a song or riff.
and would this damage the reeds or shorten their life?
