Pick one or the other- learn to use bends in songs or learn interesting songs. Start with the 2nd position versions of Mary Had a Little Lamb or Oh Sussanah and concentrate on your bending technique while incorporated into a melody. These are "practice vehicles" and not meant to be bitchen songs.
When you can do these well, try something more interesting. I think both these songs are in the Intermediate Songs section of this site.
A good followup for learning to control the bends on 3 draw is the 12 Bar Blues Boogie which is found in the same section.
Forget about the music, learn to bend and then play whatever the hell you want.
: learning to nail the 3 draw bend continues to be my stumbling block. are there any easy tunes incorporating that bend (please not mary had a lamb) I could learn to help practice playing and recognizing the bend? harmonica tabs would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
