: What got you interested in harmonica?
in my daily horrible interminal commute wishing I could bring my guitar with me to play during this wasted hour. Maybe I should learn to sing? I went to a bookstore to see if I could find any selfteaching books w/ a CD for vocals, but they all emphasized the importance of a human instructor, something I wasn't ready to commit to(besides, I've got maybe a 1/3 octave vocal range!) when I saw Gindick's "Country and Blues Harmonica for the Musically Hopeless". Why, he must have written this book specifically for me! It even came with a harp! I bought it and now my commutes are much more entertaining.
: Ever get in a musical rut? How do you get out?
My problem is that due to the demands of my job and daily commute to it, plus personal circumstances, I usually play alone, so I get in a rut often. Finding the time and opportunity to play with friends usually gives me new motivation and material to work on.
