: What got you interested in harmonica?
Years ago I saw Rod Piazza, John Hammond and Rick Estrin (of Little Charlie) all on the same bill at the House of Blues in LA. I had seen Piazza before and liked his high energy style but I was totally blown away by Estrin. He got me thinking that the harp might be fun but never pursued it until I heard Charlie Musslewhite's version of Christo Redento. I've listened to many other Musslewhite songs and I can't stand any of them. Nevertheless, Musslewhite is my inspiration.
: Ever get in a musical rut? How do you get out?
I do what "Just Passing Through" does. I stop playing and begin listening again.
