Are there other comparable brands I should consider? Help!

I would consider a Fender Pro Junior, this amp will cut thru in most situations, if mic'd thru a PA it will get the job done. You will need to change one of the pre amp tubes from a 12AX7 to a 12AU7 to lower the feedback and increase volume. This amp sounds great, will have a good resale, if you decide to move up to a bigger amp later. The most important issue is how loud are the guitar players? I played thru a DanElectro "Nifty Fifty" mic'd, and it got the job done, the guitar player was using a PeeWee Classic 30. If your in a Band and have a regular set up of gear, you know what to expect, if your going Jammin, nothing short of a HarpKing will compete with a Marshal half stack and a Van Halen wannabe. The smallest amp Ive used was an Electar Tube 10 watt, for Blues Jams, it was mic'd and worked well as long as no guitar amps were set beside it. Best of Luck to you...............bluz

F.T.R. I dont know of any Players in my area using Pignose Amps. Most if not all use Fenders.
