It dosent matter that much which harmonica Dylan plays, as long as you buy a good Diatonic Harmonica. The sound is determined much more by the way you play, than by the brand and model of the harp.

The key of the harmonica differs from song to song, and you will find a good list of them here if you want to play along with Dylans CD's :
I recommend that you buy a couple of Hohner Special 20's, as they sound good for chord-style playing. A C-harp will be the best for learning to play the harp, but else you maybe should buy the keys that fits your favourite songs.
