Harmonicas are not like violins, they do not improve with age. In fact, quite the opposite is true. If you use the antique harp for any amount of time it will be trash. Put it on your desk to inspire you.
The good news is you can buy a decent harp for less than $10 and a great one for $20. Go buy yourself a NEW Hohner (I recommend a Special 20 in C)--you'll love it.
Blow your brains out,
: I have had a harmonica for a very long time but I am not sure what kind it is because I bought it from an antique shop and it is very old. It has M. Hohner written on it. The box is red and has German writing on it. I think it was made in Germany in 1878. I want to know if it is a good harmonica for me, a beginner to use. Also, I play other instruments and I was wondering since I play other instruments if that will make it easier for me to learn to play the harmonica.
