: I want to start playing Irish and American Fiddle Bluegrass tunes and was wondering what would be the most recommended playing position? Would it be #1 or should I look at the #2 cross type playing? I am not familiar with all the correct terminology since I am a newbe. I figured if I know some bluegrass tunes in the Key of D , G, & A that I should buy harmonicas in these keys instead of buying a harmonica in another key and playing it in a 2nd position or 3rd etc positions. Any advice?
: Thanks for your time,

Yea, everything those guys said: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position will work..experiment and listen to bluegrass players: speaking of which check out David Lipkind playing with Spigot at www.spigotband.com

Enjoy, Bill
