Hey Larry,
To start with, I wish you success in every endeavor that you pursue.
As for playing harmonica with a holder, my advice is to get an elastic band or strap and have it fastened to the harmonica holder so that it won't move around and shift around too much...then go for it!
Be patient and before you know it, you might surprise yourself by how well you're doing.
We don't just subject one another to advice...we also cheer each other on...and we'll be cheering you on.
