No, there's nothing inherantly wrong with the u-tongue method. However, it does make bending very hard. It also doesn't lend itself to the range of techniques available with tongue blocking, such as the tongue slap, the hoo-la-la, octaves, etc.. But you'll probably mix embouchures when you gain more proficiency. Do what feels most natural for you.
