: im new to playing and im trying to figure out the theory of this dang thing. according to this site, im suppoed to draw on hole 2 and get a G, but when i do, according to my electronic tuner, its an F or F#...is this a flaw in my harmonica (Hohner Golden Melody) or is itthe way im playing? oh yeah....its also a C harmonica.
Mgt, The two hole unbent draw is a "G" The next bent step down would be "F#" and the full bend in that hole will be "F". I think you are drawing too hard and bending your air flow which is causing the note to bend. Relax and draw just hard enough ot make the harmonica sound, keep your air flow straight and do this from your diaphragm, don't try and force it to happen. Take it easy, Slim Jim
