Keys or brands of harmonica have virtually no effect on "feel" type-sounds.

Most of "feel" type-sound comes from advanced playing technique, experience, and/or amplification and effects.

Listen and play a lot and all will become clear.

For a rock, edgy sound, start by listening to Magic Dick (J Geils Band) and Dave Gage; and for edgy blues sound, try Butterfield, Little Walter, and James Cotton.

Darker sounds are many times a way of referring to minor keyed based songs and the instrumentation played in them.

But the answer really is, listen and play a lot, and you'll answer your own question. It's a player thing, not a trick.

Good luck,
Stan

: Are there any keys or brands of harmonica that have a darker sound? Likewise any that have a more edgy sound?
