I would suggest maybe a higher quality harmonica, such as a Special 20 or a Lee Oskar. I do think the Big River is a pretty good harp for the money (I own a few) but because they are sometimes not airtight they can be more difficult to bend notes on. And when you are a beginner you need to make things as easy as possible.

: I am brand new to the harp. I have an old MB in the key of C.Someone suggested that I try a Big River for my next harp, because of the good quality at a reasonable price. I could use some feedback on this. Thanx, Jim
