: I'm into the second day of my new harmonica and I love it. I'm 24 and I've never played a musical instrument. Already I'm doing a simple Hey Jude. I'm doing the lip blocking thing at the moment - will I need to learn to tongue block? If anyone has some simple songs written in harmonica notation I'd love to hear from you.

Greetings Michael,
Congratulations on entering a wonder filled hobby! While it's always great to have a personal teacher to help you along, these are hard to come by. The web has much information on technique, style, how to's, etc... This site especially. Another great site with a wealth of simple songs, in easy to understand notation is Jack's Harmonica Heaven: www.volcano.net/~jackmearl. A few lessons on my site too: www.geocities.com/mottabona/harmonica.html.
Yea, the pucker technique is good too, but I think being able to use both tongue blocking and puckering is best!
Enjoy
