I found the cracker barrel harp to be decent also. Some of the bends were "flat" but overall great for practice. It would be a great harp for kids or beginners in that it was easier to bend (to me) and didn't seem to leak like I expected.
: Another Note on Beginners Harps,
: I picked up a Horner Blues Band harp at Cracker Barrel Resturaunt by the interstate for $3.50 and I can't tell much difference between the way it plays and my $25 Horner (I hate mail order so I pay the long dollar at the local mall). I'm only a beginner but the $3.50 harp sounds OK to me and if I sit on it or lose it I'm not to worried.
: I read on one of the groups the the cheap Blues Band harp is better than it's price indicates.
: : : I'm finally getting a harmonica after longing for one since I was a kid. I don't know how much I'll take to it yet so I don't want to go big. I'm looking to spend no more than $75, and I want the best thing I can get. Any suggestions?! Thanks a lot!
