I've been thinking of using a tube preamp (probably an ART MP or a Real Tube 901) w/ my Epiphone EP-800 amp (15w solid state w/8" speaker). Would this give much improvement in tone or would I be pissing away my money? Should I anticipate any problems w/ this rig?
By the way,I'm mostly using a Shaker dynamic mic.
