I agree with Aaron. Don't be afraid to take your harmonica apart. If you have a plastic comb, take the reed plates off and wash it with warm soapy water, rinse and let dry. I'll wipe the edges of the reed plate with a damp cloth to de-gunk it. Sometimes I polish the reedplates around the edges to make my harp look spiffy again! Just be careful not to bump knock bend or otherwise destroy the reeds!
