Good question. I would love to be able to get in an hour of practice daily, but that's not always practical. At least a half hour though. And a lot of times, if you include driving time and misc. breaks during the day when I can get away and play for a few minutes, I get considerably more than that. I try to reserve 4 to 5 hours on the weekends for practice.
As for technique vs. playing songs, I don't really have a set schedule. Just whatever I feel like doing or whatever I need particular help with. I record myself a lot so I can pick out weaknesses easier. Whenever I can get together with a guitarist to play, that's usually the best practice I can have. It's more practical, magnifies my weaknesses and strengths, and is so much fun.
