: How do you trully clean a harmonica without damaging it?
I take my harmonicas apart and wipe them down with a lint-free rag, being careful not to let the reeds get stuck on the rag. I use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning the reedplates, as has been recommended to me in the past. And I use any thin object (such as the prong on a pen cap) to chip away the gunk that builds up inside the comb.
Hope that helps.
