John Popper Revisited

I do these "revisited" because I doubt most people scroll to the bottom all the time to see what's in there, so It's sort of like an update.

Anyway, a conversation was brought up about John Popper. Very valid one... He plays incredibly fast. Yes he does.

Can I be honest? We all know that Blues Traveler is only called Blues Traveler, not because of the "Blues" in it (it's clearly a rock band with some characteristics of blues) but because of the harp.

John has mad skill. If he wanted to play blues, he has proven that he could. However, this style really is his own. The speedy, chock-fulla-notes thing really hasn't been done much on a harp. Guitar, yes, sax, yes, harp, no. Hasn't been done. And John did it. He's admittedly a fan of Jimi Hendrix and he follows that.

It's just a matter of choice. My thoughts, though.
