Chromatics need cleaning every once in a while.
Remove the mouth piece/slide assembly and clean with soap and water. Dry it well and reassemble. Be sure to examine it closely as you take it apart so that you can put it back together again. Sometimes just a little speck of vegatable oil set between the mouth pieces and slide will help. Sometimes just loosening the screws which sandwich the slide piece between the mouth piece assembly will help. By loosen I mean about a quarter turn.... just a little.
