Like everyone has said, yes and no. Yes you can play the blues on a Big River, but no it's not your best choice. For beginner status, if you're not sure you'll stay with the harp, it's great. It's inexpensive and it works. The harmonica is a wonderful instrument. Like all instruments it takes lots of practice, but it will come! So go ahead an buy yourself a Special 20! Or perhaps a Lee Oskar. I believe F&R Farrell has the best prices.. (on the web).
