I tried to learn to bend for almost a year with the ublock (about 8-9 years ago)- but it wasn't until I learned the puckering method that I was able to bend (well). Harp On is a great site, but it is for chromatic harmonica and ublocking makes less difference on chromatic becasue bending is not nearly as important on it as on diatonic. Tongue blocking is also difficult to learn to bend with straight off. The pucker is the best for beginners (I've been teaching harmonica now for about 5 years and I've tried about everything to get beginners to learn to bend the quickest).
