: : I hate to say this, but the best way not to be intimidated is to have your stuff together. Know the songs, keys, and changes. I use my Blues Deluxe or Pro Junior, Jt-30 with Green Bullet element, it's plenty loud. You can do a good job thru the PA with a Shure 57 or 58. I have played with tenor, alto, and baritone sax players. Its a great way to learn some horn lines. Steal everything you can. Just remember to give everyone some space. A harmonica is not meant to be played non-stop in most cases. Let others get their solos, and dont walk on the vocals, unless your doing back rythms. Best of Luck and Congratulations...........Bluz

: Thank you for the advice. I'll try to do my best. This sax player is very friendly, he loves music and gives you room to solo which is great. There is a really good recording of Toots Thielemans with a baritone sax in "Man bites harmonica". Some 12 bar blues with a jazzy edge to it. By the way, do you use a JT-30 bullet with chromatic harmonica and if so how do you manage to hold things together and use the slide?

I have no intrest in the Chromatic and do not play them. I"m very satisfied just messin Diatonically.
