I am new (about a month) and found two books pretty helpful: The Complete Idot's Guide to Playing the Harmonica (fat book with lots of instruction and a section on blues and riffs -- about $16.00); and Step One: Play Harmonica, by Pickow and Shulman (a much shorter book, but comes with a CD so you can listen to the riffs and solos first or play along -- only $10.00. I also went to the public library and checked out and copied some blues disks. One book called Blues for Dummies has a compilation CD which has some good harmonica. I agree with "listen and play" method.
: I fill like I can't find anything new, When I am playing like solo's I end up using the same technech again for another part of the solo. also I fill like if I just do something it might sound to simple.
