I've mentioned often my particular interest in Little Walter's music, and there's a few tunes, which I always set aside as 'rare' and 'interesting' studies on harp.
I tend to refer to some of Walter's tunes as 'pop-jazz' or 'be-bop-blues', and I tend to think of Walter for harp, as do many think of Jimi Hendrix for the guitar. For those of you who are Walter fans, I seriously recommend checkin' out a little known tune called 'the Toddle',cut in 1958. I should mention here that, almost all of Walter's A harp tunes carry a jazz signature, and these should be studied closely, as well as 'I've Had My Fun' and 'Shake Dancer'(If you can find it).
