Someone in this group often recommended covering the cover plates with clear packaging tape. Said it was virtually impossible to see and made the harp slide more easily. I haven't tried it, and usually hve the opposite problem--too much saliva!!

: When I play with a face holder on, its difficult since I need to move my head and not the harmonica. I find my self licking the harp to get it wet enough to slide my lips back and forth. this gets annoying mid-song, and causes chapped lips, after long periods of play.
: is there some way to lubricate the harmonica? maybe spread chapstick on it? or would Vasoline be ok? Does anyone know if they make something for this?
: any tips would be much appreciated
