You couldn't have said it better. I like that "want instant gratification, play a stereo." Classic! I agree, I can't stand the competition thing. It's all about the music and essentially, whatever we play is an expression of ourselves. So slamming our playing is like slamming us. Like a good writer, the more I practice at the harp, the better I'll be able to express myself. BTW, I heard, and I'll have to go back and look this up, but someone created a Blues web site that's geared towards introducing kids to this kind of music. I thought that was really cool. They're feeling is that we need to start developing the next generation of great Blues people. Keepin' it alive!
