Go to ebay and look for a Kalamazoo model 1. You should be able to get one for less than $150.00. These are great sounding older tube amps built by gibson around 1970. Because it's an off brand the prices are nowhere near as high as they are for fenders etc.. I bought one after reading rave reviews on Harp-L and I could not be happier.
The mic I also bought as a result of suggestions from Harp-L members. Its a Lavilier Atr35S which you can buy from Radio Shack online for less than $50.00. As small as the fingernail on your thumb and easy to place between your fingers when playing. It has an on off switch but no volume controol which is the only downside in my opinion.
I get a great sound out of this mic and amp combo and I got both for about $160.00.
