Stick with this site. It's the best information I've ever seen for learning to play. Just my two cents. You absolutely don't need to read music to play blues harp. If you want to play with standard music notation you'd be better off with chromatic harmonica.
: I got this software made by Alfred Publishing. It is entitled "Teach Yourself to Play the Harmonica. I don't know wether I should use it or not. It was a gift for Christmas and has not yet been opened. Because it seems to teach things, like how to hold, differently than this site I don't know if it is something I should use? As a beginner it teaches you to cup your hands around the Harmonica instead of holding the two ends. It teaches formal music notes as aposed to tabs. Because I don't know what to do I wanted to ask someone with experiance.
: Please help me make a desition on wether or not ot use this software or find another learning source such as a book. Thank you for any help you can give.
