Check it. I'll tell you what the key is to really deep bends and how they happen.
A real good bend is all about a muscle in your throat, and has little to do with wind.Take your finger and point to your uvula, then run it down til it falls into a pit just under it. That little pit contracts when you bend, rather, sinks inward. Keep your lips pursed tight on the hole, not by applying pressure but kinda grabbing the hole; you can do this exercise by just pursing your lips tight and drawing in a bit. You'll feel that little pit sink in, and when that happens on a note, it automatically, effortlessly bends that hole.
