: Some sites, such as eBay, will state that they have a Chromatic Harmonica for sale tuned in the key of 'C'. I thought chromatic meant that it covered all notes!? I know that with diatonic, you can buy one in all the different keys. But if I buy a chromatic, isn't that all I need???

: THANKS

With a diatonic you can also cover all the notes using the bending technique. I am no expert however, but I know you can buy chromatics in any key. I wish somebody would clear my doubts aswell, because as far I am concerned the key of an instrument only alters the positions of the notes. But the thing is, an A harmonica sounds completely different to a C one. Now I'm confused...
