I'm not sure I understand the question: if this is what you mean: Why am I playing the blues in the key of G on a C harmonica?.... Starting with the G note "first note" lends to the mixolydian scale, which is very close to the blues scale in the key of G, even though the harmonica is tuned to the key of C. In fact, you can play the blues in 5 different keys on a single diatonic harmonica! I depends on the first note and the placement of all the others.
